RECAST ADVISORY BOARD SPECIAL CALL MINUTES Monday, April 11, 2022 3rd Floor GwMA Large Conference Room 9:00 AM 70 S. Clayton St, GA 30046 Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM recognizing a quorum. Approval of Agenda Motion to approve the agenda was made by Brown, Seconded by Sledge. Voting Yea: Jordan, Brown, Floyd-Bryant, Sanchez, Drane, Pino, Sledge, Martin, Warnsley, Washington General Discussion Strategic Plan Discussion The City of Lawrenceville ReCAST Grant Advisory Board met on Monday, April 11, 2022, to focus on the ReCAST Strategic Plan. Along with the purpose of the conversation listed below, the goal of the facilitated session was to also build relationships between the Board Members. The purpose of the conversation was to craft a 5-year strategic plan that reflects the goals outlined in the ReCAST grant application with objectives and activities that aim to assist high-risk youth and families and promote resilience and equity through the implementation of evidence-based violence prevention, and community youth engagement programs, as well as linkages to trauma-informed behavioral heath services. Board consensus developed this mission: "To connect and empower Lawrenceville youth and families to access available collaborative resources to address their unmet, holistic needs." Board consensus also developed this vision: "We are a thriving Lawrenceville where all residents work together to create a sense of belonging." Values: - Empowerment - Collaboration - Connection - Accessibility - Advocacy - Inclusion Citizen Comments Citizen Comments will be limited to two (2) minutes per person. ReCAST Advisory Board members will not respond to comments. There were no citizen comments. Final Adjournment Motion to adjourn was made by Brown, Seconded by Sledge.
