Meeting was called to order at 6:14 p.m.
AGENDA:
Board Member updates:
Karl Wankowicz resigned from committee.
New committee member, Elizabeth Ruiz, was introduced.
No public comments.
Shelter Statistics/ Managers report
• 4TH quarter 2021 statistics were reviewed
• Live release rate is 96% (dogs-99%; cats-94%)
• Intake: 607
• Adoptions: 462
• 219 active volunteers worked an average of 21.62 hours per volunteer.
• 225 active fosters
• 450 pets in foster care
• TNR program – ordinance revision is ongoing; target completion is 6 months to 1 year
• Video was provided to highlight 2021 successes & statistics
Discussions were held on:
• Future advisory board meeting schedule and frequency. Agreement was made to change
meeting frequency to the first Thursday of each month.
• Animal Ordinance revisions – Jasmine will continue to work on changes needed to several
ordinances
• Consideration of two new programs were discussed.
a. Heartworm Treatment of shelter dogs –revisit proposal in 6 months
b. Vaccination & Microchipping of shelter cats – target date to begin program will be March 1st.
Promotional materials will be needed prior to program start.
Meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
Next meeting is set for Thursday, March 3, 2022
