Meeting was called to order at 6:16 p.m.
AGENDA:

Shelter Statistics/Managers report
• January 2022 statistics were reviewed –
Live release rate is 97% (dogs-99%; cats-97%)
Intake: 218
Adoptions: 149
172 volunteers worked an average of 1509 hours
112 active foster parents / 174 foster pets
• LCAC will apply for a new BIPOC-Led Operating Support Grant. The grant award will be between
$5,000-$50,000 and will be used to serve the lower income communities in League City.
• Puppy Love and Super Adoption event held on February 12th was very successful. 28 dogs and 10
cats were adopted out.
Discussions were held on:
• Four new positions to be requested for fiscal year 2023:
Community Outreach Coordinator II
Office Support Specialist
Lead Animal Technician
Animal Protection Officer.
• Proposed microchipping ordinance – review was held, Stacy motioned to approved, Dr.
Robinson 2nd. Motion was passed unanimously, and the proposal will be presented to city
council.
• Noise complaints from Oaks of Clear Creek – Jasmine met with homeowners to discuss their
concerns. The homeowners expressed their support of the shelter. LCAC will continue to find
solutions to resolve their complaints.
• LCAC SOPs – reviewed questions on the procedures; will continue to finalize the procedures.
Next meeting will be Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 6:15 p.m.
