MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE April 27, 2020 The meeting of the Finance Committee was called to order by Gabe Allen on April 27, 2020 at 4:03 p.m. by telephone or video conference in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings (also called “social distancing”) to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Present at the meeting were Nick Long, John VanDever, Jr., Paul Maaz, Traci Jacobs, Steve Burzinski, Charles Howard, Zak Kone, Gabe Allen, Rhonda Lee, Teresa McKenzie, Kristine Polian, Angie Steelman, Paige Bailey, Quencelia Goins, and Ann Williams. Approval of minutes from the February 10, 2020 Meeting Paul Maaz made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes and to approve the minutes as presented. Traci Jacobs seconded the motion. The motion passed, all-in-favor. Citizen Comments There were no citizen comments. Review Investment Report for the Quarter Ended December 31, 2019 Quencelia Goins reviewed the Investment Report for the Quarter Ended December 31, 2019 with the Finance Committee. Discussion on the Selection of the Municipal Advisor Kristine Polian reviewed the selection of Municipal Advisory Services. Hilltop Security was selected as the Municiand is being recommended to City Council. There were a few questions and a brief discussion ensued. Presentation of the 1st Quarter Financial Report for FY2020 Angie Steelman presented the 1st Quarter Financial Report for FY2020 to the Finance Committee. Presentation of the 1st Quarter Budget Amendment for FY2020 Angie Steelman presented the 1st Quarter Budget Amendment for FY2020 to the Finance Committee. Consider and Take Action to Excuse Absences A motion was made to excuse Chuck Howard’s absence on February 2, 2020. Motion passed all-in-favor. Staff Comments No staff comments.
