Rowlands, Richard Marchand, John Dombrowski, James Lanciani, Dennis Rosa and Robert Salvatelli: Amend the Leominster Zoning Ordinance dated July 1, 2001 with amendments through January 27, 2003 with the purpose of removing Mixed Use Development Project or Mixed Use Zoning in its entirety by amending 1.) Section 22-24 – Industrial District by eliminating Section 24.2.5 in its entirety including all subsections; 2.) Section 22-26 Table of Uses by removing “Mixed Use Development Project” in its entirety and 3.) all sections that make references to Mixed Use Development Projects or Mixed Use Zoning by removing them in their entirety. Councillor Marchand said that we will have to wait for the Planning Boards recommendation so he will not be recommending any action be taken on this petition this evening. THE CITY OF LEOMINSTER In the year two thousand five AN ORDINANCE Amending Chapter 4 of the Revised Ordinances entitled “Buildings” Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Leominster as follows: Chapter 4 of the Revised Ordinances entitled “Buildings” is hereby amended by deleting sections 4-2.1 through 4-2.9 in their entirety and by inserting in their place the following: Sec. 4-2.1 Building Permit fees. (a) For a total estimated cost up to one thousand dollars, a fee of twenty dollars; (b) For a total estimated cost of each additional one thousand dollars or a portion thereof, a fee of six dollars (c) For re-inspection (being not ready when called for) a fee of fifty dollars per inspection. Sec. 4-2.2 Mobile home permit fees The following fees shall be charged for each: (a) For base fee, including concrete pads, stairs and patio roof, a fee of one hundred fifty dollars. (b) For re-inspection (being not ready when called for) a fee of fifty dollars per inspection. Sec. 4-2.3 Signs The following fees shall be charged: (a) For a total estimate cost up to one thousand dollars, a fee of twenty dollars; (b) For a total estimated cost of each additional one thousand dollars or portion thereof, a fee of ten dollars; (c) For re-inspection (being not ready when called for) a fee of fifty dollars per inspection. The following fees shall be charge: (a) For each system, a fee of twenty dollars; (b) For re-inspection (being not ready when called for) a fee of fifty dollars per inspection. Sec. 4-2.6 Electrical permit fees. Sec. 4-2.7 Demolition permit fees The following fees shall be charged for each individual building; (a) For one and two family dwellings, a fee of twenty dollars; (b) For multifamily, commercial and industrial buildings, a fee of one hundred dollars. Sec. 4-2.8 Penalty (a) For failure to apply for a permit before construction has started, all fees are doubled. Vt. 9 “yeas” THE CITY OF LEOMINSTER In the year two thousand five AN ORDINANCE Amending Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances entitled “Motor Vehicles and Traffic” Be it ordained by the City Council of the city of Leominster as follows: Section 13-34 of the Revised Ordinances entitled “No Parking on Certain Streets” is hereby amended by inserting “Phillips Street (north side), from Colburn Street for a distance of one hundred fifty feet. Under New Business, Councillor Marchand said that on behalf of a residents of Merriam Avenue he would like to praise the Department of Public Works. He said a constituent of his called him to tell him what a beautiful job they did cleaning up her area of the city and how well she was treated when she went to the public works building to pick up barrels.
