Marchand MINUTES CITY OF LEOMINSTER CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER 16, 2019 5:00 PM JOHN P. MAHAN CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS PUBLIC HEARING, 5:00 P.M. C-38 Dean J. Mazzarella, Mayor: Request that the annual Tax Classification Hearing be scheduled for December 16, 2019 for the purpose of setting the annual factor used for Fiscal Year 2020. (Finance; Regular Course 11/25/2019; Public Hearing 12/16/2019 @ 5:00 P.M.; Majority Vote) The public hearing opened at 5:00 PM. Councillor Bodanza explained that the recommendation of the Board of Assessors is to adopt a factor of one and NOT any waivers. Councillor Bodanza asked three times whether or not anyone from the public or the Council would like to speak. No one spoke. The public hearing was closed at 5:03 PM. PUBLIC FORUM, 5:05 P.M The public forum is an opportunity for any member of the audience to speak on a matter specifically listed on the Council Agenda. Speakers will be asked to come to the microphone and state their formal name and address along with identifying the specific item(s) they wish to address. Each speaker is respectfully asked to keep their comments within a two (2) minute timeframe. The Council will not be responding or answering any questions; however, at the discretion of the Council President, clarification may be given. Council President Marchand asked three times if anyone would like to speak. No one spoke. The public forum closed at 5:06 PM. I. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, 5:10 P.M. The special meeting of the City Council opened at 5:10 PM. II. ROLL CALL OF COUNCILLORS IN ATTENDANCE Council President Marchand, Council Vice President Feckley, Councillor David Cormier, Councillor Pauline Cormier, Councillor Ardinger, Councillor Bodanza, Councillor Chalifoux Zephir, Councillor Freda Present. Councillor Dombrowski absent. Others Present: Katelyn Huffman, City Clerk. III. FINANCE C-38 Dean J. Mazzarella, Mayor: Request that the annual Tax Classification Hearing be scheduled for December 16, 2019 for the purpose of setting the annual factor used for Fiscal Year 2020. (Finance; Regular Course 11/25/2019; Public Hearing 12/16/2019 @ 5:00 P.M.; Majority Vote) The Finance Committee Recommended that the Council approve a Factor of 1 with no waivers. Vote: 8-0 the Factor of 1 with no waivers was ADOPTED. IV. NEW BUSINESS • There was no new business. V. OLD BUSINESS • There was no old business. VI.
