Opening ceremonies: Planning Commission Chairman, Alan Paystrup, called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. A Quorum was present. Those in attendance: Planning Commission Chairman: Alan Paystrup Commissioners: Chris Chipping and Barbara Anderson were present Planning Commission Secretary: Heather Poulsen Mayor: Corey Christiansen Town Council Members: Jesse Richmond, Bruce Rowley, Ray Evans, Taryn Brooks Town Clerk: Elizabeth Hone Others: Tyler Timmons and Shay Morrison form Six Counties Not in Attendance: Commissioner Heath Butler Prayer was given by Commissioner Barbara Anderson Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner Chris Chipping 2. Action items: A. Approval of minutes from previous meetings: Jesse Richmond made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Barbara Anderson, to approve the minutes for both the Regular Planning Commission Meeting held on June2, 2021 and the special work session held on June 22, 2021. All commissioners present were in favor. Motion carried. 3. Discussion Items: A. Tyler Timmons and Shay Morrison from Six Counties came with a rough draft for a new general plan. They put the rough draft up on the projector for the whole planning commission and town council to see. Tyler and Shay lead a discuss on what was in the new general plan, things they needed more information on, and if there were any areas that the town would like changed. They will go through and make the changes. Once they are made the plan will be emailed to all members of the planning commission and town council to be looked over again. The planning commission would like to be able to hold the public hearing in accordance with the regular scheduled August meeting. B. Land Use Discussion: a. Secretary Heather Poulsen gave the planning commission a heads up that someone had called the office about getting a conditional use permit to live in a recreational vehicle for longer than the 14 days that are allowed in order to take care of their father. The commissioners are going to consider what they would like as regulations. b. Secretary Heather Poulsen informed that the state passed a house bill legalizing internal accessory dwelling units. The planning commission has until October to pass any code that would put stipulations on the IADU’s. They could put stipulations like the owner must reside in the home. Heather said she would look up some codes to present at the next meeting. 6. Adjourn: Commissioner Chris Chipping made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Barbara Anderson to adjourn. All were in favor.
