DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE THURSDAY - DECEMBER 9, 2021 2801 Ranch Road 1869 - Liberty Hill AGENDA ITEM 2.a Discuss and consider approval of minutes of October 14, 2021 Downtown Beautification Committee meeting. 3  Downtown Beautification Committee October 14, 2021 Minutes 1. The Downtown Beautification Committee meeting was called to order at 5:39 PM by Dax Oglesby, Vice Chair. 2. Introductions were given. Those in attendance include: Dax Oglesby Tambra Prince Jodi McCumber Lacie Hale Nancy Sawyer Angela Jones Kellie Olisky Pam Turner Jay Holmes Kate Williams Rachel Madison 3. Consideration and possible action on appointing a Chair. 4. Consideration and possible action on appointing a Secretary. Following discussion, there was a motion to nominate Tambra Prince Vice Chair. Motion passed on vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions. The committee discussed the current day and time each month for meetings and concurred the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM worked for them. Dax Oglesby stated he would be stepping down from his role as Vice Chair because his downtown business location sold. 5. Consideration and possible revisions to the bylaws. The Committee discussed the bylaws with revision of having the meetings every second Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM at the Municipal Court Building. On motion by Dax Oglesby and second by Tambra Prince, the committee approved the revision to the bylaws. Motion passed on vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions. 6. Consideration and review of the Texas Downtown Association assessment. Lacie Hale, City Administrator presented the assessment report. She stated she would like to take a deeper dive into the assessment at the next meeting. Ms. Hale stated the Community Downtown Beautification Committee 1 October 14, 2021 4  Development Block Grant (CDBG) for paving sidewalks should be completed within twelve (12) months. 7. Consideration and possible action on placement of flag poles. Following discussion, Jodi McCumber made a motion to place within the roundabout. Tambra Prince seconded the motion. Motion passed on vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions. 8. Next meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 9th due to Veterans Day. 9. Adjournment – On motion by Dax Oglesby and second by Jodi McCumber, the Downtown Beautification Committee was adjourned at 6:09 PM.
