Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Liberty Hill will be held on THURSDAY – AUGUST 28, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at City Council Chambers
- 2801 Ranch Road 1869 to consider the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to
action.
1. CALL TO ORDER
a) Roll Call – Establish Quorum
b) Invocation
c) Pledge of Allegiance & Texas Pledge
2. PUBLIC COMMENT & PRESENTATIONS
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Liberty Hill welcomes public comment
early in the agenda of regular meetings. Those wishing to speak must sign in by completing
the public comment form and presenting the form to the City Secretary before the start of the
meeting. Each citizen will be allowed up to three (3) minutes and Public Comment period will
last no longer than 15 minutes in total.

3. PUBLIC HEARINGS
a) To consider amending the Unified Development Code (UDC) creating a Landscape
Ordinance, which includes requirements for the preservation and use of native plants, the
implementation of vegetative buffers between certain land uses, and the implementation of

b) To consider amending the Unified Development Code (UDC), clarifying the parkland
dedication requirements for residential land uses. Agenda Item Requested by: Sallie Burchett

4. REGULAR AGENDA
a) Discussion and Possible Action on approving the minutes of the Planning & Zoning
Commission meeting held Tuesday - July 8, 2014.
b) Discussion and Possible Action on amending the Unified Development Code (UDC) creating
a Landscape Ordinance, which includes requirements for the preservation and use of native
plants, the implementation of vegetative buffers between certain land uses, and the

c) Discussion and Possible Action on amending the Unified Development Code (UDC),

d) Discussion and Possible Action on amending the Site Development and Design Standards of
the Unified Development Code regarding Section 6.07 – Tree Inventory and Protection.

e) Discussion and Possible Action on an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Liberty
Hill, Texas Enacting The Regulation Of Acceptance, Review, And Approval Of Permits For
Mobile Food Vendors And The Erection, Installation, Operation Or Parking Of Certain
Motor Vehicles And Trailers Under Certain Conditions, Specifically Mobile Food Vendors
And Recreational Vehicles (I.E., Travel Trailers Or Camper Trailers) Used As Mobile Food
Retail Establishments Or Stores (E.G., Peddlers, Merchants Or Itinerant Businesses Selling
Food, Produce, Etc., From Trucks, Trailers, Recreational Vehicles, Etc.); And Providing
For The Following: Popular Name; Findings Of Fact; A Purpose; Compliance Required;
Scope Of Jurisdiction; Applicability; Effective Date; Removal Of The Temporary
Suspension Of Certain Approvals; Enforcement, Including Criminal Fines Not To Exceed
$2,000.00 And Civil Penalties Not To Exceed $500.00 Per Violation; And That Each Day In
Violation Constitutes A Separate Offense; and by A Repealer; Severability; Proper Notice

f) Discussion and Possible action on amending the Unified Development Code (UDC) and
review of the UDC Priority List; revise and / or reprioritize the list as needed; Planning &

g) Discussion and Possible Action on scheduling the next Planning & Zoning Commission
meeting for September 16th – Tuesday at 6:30 PM (from the 2nd Tuesday to the 3rd Tuesday)
to allow time for mailout and public notice on upcoming agenda items for the September
