PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12TH, 2018 Planning Commission Members Present: Phil Folyer, Stan Jochim, Charles Matthews, Richard Siler, Jesse Fox Adjunct Member(s) Present: Jamie Baird, Tom Sahlberg Absent: Gary W. Green, Jared Von Tobel Staff Present: Lisa Key, Kelsey Wright Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. Roll Call: A quorum of members was present. Commissioner Folyer arrived after roll call was completed. Review of Agenda & Approval of Minutes: The Commission unanimously approved the agenda. Commissioner Fox moved that the November 14th minutes be approved, seconded by Commissioner Siler. Minutes were approved with all ayes. Action Items/ Discussions Presentations: A. Workshop on Street Tree Ordinance: Lisa Key presented on the latest revisions to the Street Tree Ordinance since the last Workshop. Following discussion regarding end of term for multiple Commissioners and Chair and the application and voting processes upcoming, it was decided that a Public Hearing still be held in January with Commissioner Folyer as the Interim Chair for the January 9th Meeting and Hearing, thus allowing for the ordinance to be enacted in a time frame prior to peak planting season. B. Discussion: Design Review Code (City Development Code 10-4C) as a Possible Work Program Item: Lisa Key presented on the current state of the Design Review Code and highlighted areas that may be necessary to improve. Discussion followed regarding the inclusion of Design Review Code clean up to the Draft Work Program. All commissioners agreed that it was necessary to add to the Work Program. Questions asked and answered. C. Planning Commission Work Program Workshop: Lisa Key presented on the Draft Work Program noting which items were required to go through Planning Commission and requested feedback in prioritization and timeframe of included projects. Questions asked and answered.
