Liberty Lake Municipal Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes Thursday, July 7, 2016 1. The meeting was called to order at 10:03 a.m. In attendance: Pat Lutzenberger, Linda Dockery, Lu Embrey, Katy Allen, Pamela Mogen and Tricia Morgan. 2. The minutes from the June 2nd meeting were approved. 3. Comments - none 4. Reports a. City Administrator – Katy Allen  Discussed upcoming city council meetings/events: July 12: council will meet with The Splash July 19: Ozzie Knezovich will speak July 20: Ice Cream Social for Town Square campaign at Town Square Aug 2: National Night Out August 16: Council Retreat, 6:00 pm at City Hall  City is having a transportation study done  Town Square project – informational flyers will be mailed out July 13-15 b. Library Director - Pamela Mogen  Summer reading program – numbers down  Budget – process begins in July; public hearing on July 19th  WA Anytime Overdrive – price increasing possibly from $4,000 to $5500 per year, but it has a much bigger collection than CIN which we donate $2,000 to. Paid for in December which may make library run over budget this year.  RFID (radio frequency identification) – looking into pricing this type of system  Edge Assessment: o 245/395 points in 2014 o 305/395 points in 2016 o Gave 60 suggestions to improve the library’s technology  MW Children’s Center will bring 30 children to the library every other week o Stepping Stones brings children weekly o SkyHawks will also be bringing their group  The Friends bought the library a new $4,000 printer. c. Friends of the Library – no report 5. On Going business a. Annual Report – Board will report at October 4, 2016 council meeting. b. Trustee manuals – review and update c.
