ie City o THE CITY OF LIBERTY LAKE PARKS & ARTS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2019 4:00 PM - I— CALL TO ORDER: Chair Laina Schutz called the meeting of the Parks and Arts Commission to order at 4:00 PM on iSeptember 4th, 2019. ROLL CALL: Commissioner David Himebaugh Commissioner Laina Schutz Commissioner Laura Frank Commissioner Bridgette Harris Commissioner Tom Chamberlain Excused Adjunct Bob Schneidmiller Commissioner Tom Sahlberg Adjunct Kate Laven Commissioner Tom Stanley Maintenance & Operations Director Jennifer Camp Activities & Events Maintenance Worker Anita Eylar Administrative Assistant Tait Hunter APPROVALS: Commissioner Schutz motion to approve the minutes from the August 21st meeting. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Sahlberg and approval carried unanimously. CITIZEN COMMENTS: Holly Woodruff, Resident and F—resident of Liberty Lake Library Board, informed the commission that the former Library Director, Pamela Mogen, was to be in attendance at the story walk unveiling. STAFF REPORT: Jennifer Camp, Operations & Maintenance Director, provided a brief staff update regarding the Ordinance 168 update according to the previous night’s council meeting. She also updated the Commission on the upcoming workshop discussion regarding the Transportation Improvement Plan. Commissioners were encouraged to attend. The Story Walk dedication event was discussed amongst the commissioners as well as the success of the Symphony event. NEW & UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Commissioner Frank updated the commissioners regarding the continued planning of the Pavillion mural. The final submissions are estimated to be received shortly, and a decision is estimated to be reached no later than the 6th of September. Commissioner Sahlberg provided more information regarding the John Vickrey donation. Commissioner Schutz provided an update on the wraps project, detailing which boxes have been wrapped and which still need to be finaHzed. ACTION ITEMS! PRESENTATIONS! GENERAL DISCUSSION: Emily Osborne, Rotary Club, presented the Turquoise Table and Free Little Libraries ideas to the commission. She provided a brief, three page plan which the commission reviewed and discussed. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:41 PM.
