Flag Salute Roll Call of Council Members Present: DiDomenico, Hess, Jackson, Sinon, Strippoli, President Randolph-Sharpe, and Mayor Roach Resolution 2021:79 Executive Session BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Lindenwold that the Mayor and Council are now going into closed session to discuss Legal Updates, and Personnel-Contract Negotiations Motion was made by President Randolph-Sharpe, second by Councilman Strippoli that Resolution 2021:79 be adopted as read. Voice vote was unanimous in the affirmative. Motion carried. Motion was made by President Randolph-Sharpe, second by Councilman DiDomenico to go out of executive session. Voice vote was unanimous in the affirmative. Motion carried. President Randolph-Sharpe excused from the meeting. Motion was made by Councilman Strippoli, second by Councilwoman Hess that the Council Meeting for January 6, 2021 and Council Meeting and Executive Session for January 27, 2021 be adopted as presented. Roll call vote was unanimous in the affirmative. Motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Strippoli, second by Councilman DiDomenico that all bills that have been properly audited be approved for payment. Roll call vote was unanimous in the affirmative. Motion carried. The following reports have been filed and are available in the respective offices for review and will be included in the minutes: a. Tax Collector’s Report $1,514,194.00 b. Sewer Report $ 76,337.88 c. Treasurer’s Report $ 2,674.26 CONSENT AGENDA: The items listed below are considered routine by the Borough of Lindenwold and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no formal discussion of these items. If discussion is desired, this item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately. Motion was made by Councilman Strippoli, second by Councilwoman Hess that Resolution 2021:80 to Resolution 2021:81 be adopted as read. Roll call vote was unanimous in the affirmative. Motion carried. Resolution 2021:80 Budget Transfer BE IT RESOLVED by Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Lindenwold that the following transfers are made to the 2020 Appropriation Reserves: Budget Account From To Collection of Taxes - S&W 30,000.00 Compliance OE 40,000.00 Legal OE 20,000.00 Unemployment Comp 30,000.00 Accumulated Comp 20,000.00 Total 70,000.00 70,000.00 Resolution 2021:81 WHEREAS, there is a need to appoint members to the Environmental Commission for the Borough of Lindenwold, and COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING February 10, 2021 Page | 2 WHEREAS, there is also a need to appoint an alternate member. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor with Council consent that the following be and are hereby appointed to the Environmental Commission: Nancy DiDomenico 12/31/23 Alternate: Heather Protich 12/31/21 Engineer’s Report was provided by Anthony Chadwell of Remington and Vernick who provided an update on several projects including the completion of the Traffic Signal Project. Mayor Roach opened the meeting to Council Councilman DiDomenico presented the January Police Department Report including 2,352 total number of calls. Councilwoman Hess informed the residents that the library is open for curbside services only. Tax Forms have been requested. Councilman Jackson advised residents that the Borough is looking into updating the website with information regarding the parks as well as pictures. Councilman Strippoli had nothing to report. Councilwoman Sinon reminded Senior Citizens that snow removal is available through Camden County. She also advised residents to register their pets with a valid rabies certificate as required by law. Residents have started to receive their COVID vaccines with the second dose to start this week. There are several websites in order to register for an appointment to schedule a vaccine. Two new sites will be opening which are CVS and Rite Aid. Mayor Roach asked for a motion to vacate Resolution 2021:81. Motion was made by Councilman Strippoli, second by Councilwoman Sinon to vacate Resolution 2021:81. Voice vote was unanimous in the affirmative. Motion carried. Mayor Roach asked for a motion for Resolution 2021:81 Motion was made by Councilman Strippoli, second by Councilwoman Hess that Resolution 2021:81 be adopted as read. Roll call vote was in the affirmative with Councilman DiDomenico abstaining. Motion carried. Mayor Roach presented his COVID update which included the number of cases at 1,661 including 19 deaths. Council has referred resident to the Park and Recreation Committee for the use of fields. Mayor Roach opened the meeting to the Public. Diane Veteri, resident, complained about the speed of the snow plows which pushed the snow back on the sidewalks. Councilman Strippoli responded that the plows have no control of where the snow lands but will look into this matter. Resident questioned a need for a mobile rabies clinic. Mayor Roach responded that Berlin Township just had a clinic. The Clerk responded that any resident in Camden County can attend a free rabies clinic. When Lindenwold held a clinic, it was costly to the taxpayers due to the low turnout. Trevor Shaw, resident, questioned the basketball courts at Fourth and Scott. Councilman DiDomenico responded that it became a hang out where property was destroyed. Council continued to discuss the matter with the resident. Resident questioned the computer services regarding the resolution passed at the last meeting. Business Administrator responded that this was for the IT needs for all of the Borough locations. He stated that with the cost of the services, he hoped for more newsletters. Business Administrator explained that the newsletter is handled by the media team not under IT. She added that all available information has been provided on the Borough website. Finally, he asked about the flag at the park. Public Works Supervisor advised the flag was damaged due to the wind storm. Raymond Morrisey, resident, commented on the website and agenda. He questioned the minutes from the Environmental Commission which the Environmental secretary on the call responded that the minutes from January have not been approved. Resident asked about information for seniors. Mayor responded to his questions. Taalib Henderson, resident, asked when the next Park and Recreation Meeting will be. Councilman Jackson believes it will be next month. Danielle Brittain, resident, questioned about the use of the Park. Councilman Jackson responded that the applications are reviewed at the Park and Recreation meeting.
