Minutes of the Meeting of the Kimberly-Little Chute Public Library Board August 15, 2017 The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President Moes at the James J Siebers Library, Kimberly. PRESENT: Jim Moes, Dave Peterson, Amanda Fletcher, Lori Vanderloop, Rose VanderVelden. EXCUSED: Phil Yunk, Dave Hietpas, Kathii Schommer OTHERS PRESENT: Steve Thiry MINUTES AND INVOICES Peterson moved, seconded by Fletcher, to approve the minutes of the July, 2017 meeting Motion carried. VanderVelden moved, seconded by Vanderloop, to approve the July bills. Motion carried. The May financial and statistics reports were discussed. NEW BUSINESS Moes moved, seconded by Fletcher, to approve purchase of self-service equipment and maintenance in the amount of $101, 501.00 and authorize director to finance with the Village of Little Chute. Motion carried. VanderVelden moved, seconded by Vanderloop, to approve revisions to Internet Use Policy. Motion carried. Peterson moved, seconded by Fletcher, to approve art display policy. Motion carried. VanderVelden moved, seconded by Vanderloop, to approve confidentiality agreement. Motion carried. VanderVelden moved, seconded by Fletcher, to approve strategic planning with WiLs for 2018. Motion carried. Peterson moved, seconded by Fletcher, to approve Star Wars Toy Exhibit rental and display case purchase in the amount of $3,650 to be paid from Little Chute Donation Account. Motion carried. Thiry reported that the library bandwidth was upgraded with no issues. Summer help did an outstanding job this year and Angela Bishop accepted the position of Adult Services Librarian at 20/hours a week. Upcoming programs include Shakespeare on the Plaza. Ann Hadginski provided a written report. ADJOURNMENT VanderVelden moved, seconded by Peterson to adjourn the meeting at 5:35 p.m. Motion carried.
