Minutes of the Meeting of the Kimberly-Little Chute Public Library Board September 26, 2017 The meeting was called to order at 4:30p.m. by President Moes at Gerard Van Hoof Library in Little Chute. PRESENT: Dave Hietpas, Jim Moes, Kathii Schommer, Phil Yunk, Dave Peterson, Rose VanderVelden, Amanda Fletcher. EXCUSED: Lori Vanderloop, OTHERS PRESENT: Steve Thiry MINUTES AND INVOICES VanderVelden moved, seconded by Peterson, to approve the minutes of the August 15, 2017 meeting. Motion carried. Yunk moved, seconded by Schommer, to approve the August 2017 bills. Motion carried. The August 2017 financial and statistics reports were discussed. No action taken. NEW BUSINESS Fletcher moved, seconded by Yunk to approve the student assistant job description. Motion carried. Yunk moved, seconded by VanderVelden, to go into closed session to discuss wages and compensation at 4:40. Motion carried. Return to open session 4:55 pm. Fletcher moved, seconded by Schommer, to increase wages five percent for currently serving library assistants on October 1. Motion carried. Thiry reviewed the 2018 budget. The director met with the Village administrators regarding the budget and reported they were in agreement with the proposal. Peterson moved, seconded by Hietpas, to approve 2018 library budget as presented. Motion carried. DIRECTOR’S REPORT - Director Thiry had no additional report. YOUTH SERVICES REPORT – Jim Gill concert sponsored by the family of Kay Taylor and how Jim is not only a musician but a child development specialist who incorporates play into his music.
