MINUTES OF THE PLAN COMMISSION MEETING – JANUARY 14, 2013 Call to Order The Plan Commission meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Vanden Berg Roll Call PRESENT: President Vanden Berg Trustee Bob Berken Steve Eggert John Elrick Richard Schevers Bill Van Berkel Roy Van Gheem ALSO PRESENT: Community Development Director Jim Moes, Village Administrator Charles Kell, Village Clerk Vicki Schneider, John Calmes President Vanden Berg announced that Trustee Bob Berken has replaced Trustee Hietpas as Trustee Hietpas has a scheduling conflict with Monday nights and he also serves on the Library Board. Public Appearance for Items Not on the Agenda None Approve Minutes of the Plan Commission Meeting of December 10, 2012 Moved by Commissioner Van Gheem, seconded by Commissioner Schevers to approve the minutes of December 10, 2012 as presented. Ayes 7, Nays 0 – Motion Carried Unanimously Review/Recommendation – Zoning Change Request filed by John Calmes for 1022/1024/1026 Washington Ct. for a change from RM – Residential Multi-Family District to ID – Industrial District J. Moes stated that there is an offer to purchase for this property and it is contingent upon the rezoning of the property being approved. J. Moes stated that staff’s recommendation to the Commission is that they recommend the Village Board set a public hearing on the rezoning and approve the rezoning. J. Moes stated property owners within 100 ft. of this property would be sent notice of the public hearing for rezoning the property. No discussion took place. Moved by Commissioner Elrick, seconded by Commissioner Van Berkel to recommend to the Village Board setting a public hearing for the rezoning request. Ayes 7, Nays 0– Motion Carried Unanimously Moved by Commissioner Elrick, seconded by Commissioner Van Berkel to recommend to the Village Board approval of the rezoning request for 1022/1024/1026 Washington Ct.
