Gloudemans, seconded by J. Schultz to Approve Minutes from the Utility Commission of January 15, 2019 All Ayes – Motion Carried Progress Reports MCO Operations Update Jerry Verstegen, MCO gave an update for ongoing projects and repairs and updated the commission that there are a lot of breaks due to weather. Director of Public Works Director Taylor went over the sanitary and storm sewer issues. Advised there is a leak on Canal Street and the DNR MS4 meeting was rescheduled due to weather. Also advertising for an Environmental Specialist. Finance Director Director Remiker-Dewall went over the Storm, Water and Sewer January Statements and advised the auditors are being scheduled. Approval of Vouchers Moved by K. Coffey, seconded by M. Schultz to Adjourn the Meeting at 6:33 p.m. All Ayes – Motion Carried VILLAGE OF LITTLE CHUTE By: Kevin Coffey, Chair Attest: Laurie Decker, Village Clerk  VILLAGE OF LITTLE CHUTE RESOLUTION NO. , SERIES OF 2019 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2019 MS4 GENERAL PERMIT ANNUAL REPORT WHEREAS, the Village of Little Chute owns and operates a municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4); and WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has issued a General Permit to discharge storm water to the waters of the state; and WHEREAS, a condition stated in the General Permit to Discharge requires the Village to complete an annual report that summarizes the Village’s efforts to comply with the conditions stated in the General Permit to Discharge; and WHEREAS, after review and approval by the Village Board, the Annual Report must be submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village Board of Little Chute as follows: 1. That the 2019 MS4 General Permit Annual Report, as prepared by Village staff, is hereby approved; and 2. That submittal of the report and this resolution to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is hereby authorized. Storm Sewer Street Notes: • Due to forecasted warm weather and rain for the week end inlets and gutter lines were opened up in problematic areas on February 1st. • Due to forecasted rain and warm weather crews were out opening storm inlets February 22nd. Engineering Installed information: • Private contractor for Little Chute North Estates installed 1393 LF of storm main, 6 storm manholes, 648 LF storm lateral, 7 storm inlets and 3 storm endwall. Storm Ponds Street Notes: • Due to warm temperatures snow melt and rain we ran large 40” pump at the industrial park pond on February 4th to keep levels at a minimum. Water Street Notes: • Monitor recent water break excavations and keep to grade as needed. • New breaks for the month of February: Franklin St., Buchanan St., and Hagen’s Court. Engineering Installed information: • Private contractor for Little Chute North Estates installed 885 LF of water main and 361 LF water lateral. Engineering Notes: 2019 Utility Projects - Construction Evergreen Drive Storm Sewer There is sufficient utility work to split this project into two contracts. We will prepare separate bid forms for utilities and paving but use the same plans and specifications for the individual contracts. Bohm Drive Water Main Reconstruction This project remains unchanged and work is scheduled to start in April or May depending on weather conditions. Northeast Sanitary Sewer Extension / Buchanan Road Water Main Extension The contractor is scheduled to complete the pipe installation for these two projects in March. Restoration is scheduled to be completed by the end of May. 2019 North Storm Sewer Extension Project - Design The Village Consultant continues to make progress with their design. It is anticipated that this project will go to bid the first quarter of 2019 with construction completion in September of 2019.
