Call to Order
The Utility Commission meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Kevin Coffey, Chair

Approval of Minutes from the Utility Commission Meeting of April 16, 2019
Moved by M. Gloudemans, seconded by T. Buchholz to Approve Minutes from the Utility Commission
of April 16, 2019

Discussion—Public Service Commission Report
Director Remiker-DeWall gave a brief description of the Public Service Commission Report provided to the
Utility Commission. Commissioner Coffey recommended adding the rates on a future agenda to look at if
increases are warranted.
Discussion—Update on Outagamie County Billing
Administrator Fenlon went over the latest billing information for Outagamie County. The Village of Little
Chute is requesting a meeting to discuss payments that are past due.
Progress Reports
MCO Operations Update
Director Taylor answered questions on the current operations and projects for the Water Department.
Director of Public Works
Director Taylor was available for any questions regarding the April Utility report.
Finance Director
Director Remiker-DeWall updated the Utility Commission on the April Finance report.
Approval of Vouchers
Moved by M. Gloudemans, seconded by J. Schultz to Approve and Authorize payment of
Vouchers and draw from the respective funds

Report for May / June 2019
Sanitary Sewer
Street Notes May and June:
• I & I inspection done after rain fall.
• Routine sewer inspection.
• 6/14/19 – Dispatched to the Purina elevator for a sanitary sewer back up. It was deemed a
restricted private lateral.
• In June crew did preventative maintenance on 5,236 feet of sanitary sewer.
Storm Sewer
Street Notes May and June:
• In May inlets that were replace due to dilapidated structures - Arthur St. and Fox Valley
Metro parking lot.
• Storm water education/sweeping program with St. John 1st grade students on May 15th.
• Storm Water Education/sweeping program with Little Chute Elementary 1st grade students
on May 21st.
• Sweeping continued on a weekly basis and haul out sweepings as needed.
Engineering Notes June:
• 48” Class IV Reinforced Concrete Pipe = 896.9 LF
7’ DIA. M.H. = 2 Manholes 13.76 VF
8’ DIA. M.H. = 1 Manhole 7.32 VF
Storm Ponds
Street Notes May and June:
• 5/9/19 - The vertical pump motor at the Industrial Pond was removed by August/Winter
and Crane Engineering. Was sent out to L&S Electric to be rebuilt.
• After removing pond pump motor it was found that pump was also in need of repair. On
May 20th the pump was pulled by August/Winters and Crane Engineering and was taken
off site to rebuild.
• Trash racks cleaned after rain falls.
• Scott and other crew members started to remove brush and invasive species (buck thorn)
from various ponds.
• Annual Meeting 5/14/19 with Stuart Boerst about pond maintenance. In attendance Kent
Taylor, Mike McClone, Scott Wegand and Marty Janssen.
Water
Street Notes May and June:
• Started water break excavation restoration. Roughly 13.50 yards of concrete on
Buchanan Street and Hagen Court.
• Received a call Wednesday May 29th evening approximately 6:30 from Jerry from MCO
informing Public Works that a hydrant was struck by a skid steer while performing
restoration on the Bohm Dr. Project and broke at the main line valve and possibly
protruded into our sanitary sewer. MCO was able to close valve and stop the flow. Crew
was called out to jet gravel and open up restricted line but got jetter hose stuck in gravel.
Notified businesses of the issue. Had no overnight issues retrieved hose the next day.
Both water and sanitary lines were repaired and we got the jet hose stuck again had to
call speedy clean to help remove the gravel. The crew went back on Friday to clean line.
• The following water break excavations with hot mix asphalt were restored in June:
Hagens Court – 326 sq. ft.
Greenfield Drive – 172.50 sq. ft.
Moasis Drive – 518.75 sq. ft. (six total)
2019 Utility Projects
Evergreen Drive Storm Sewer- French Road to Holland Road
A preconstruction and site walk thru meeting with contractor and property owners was held on
June 11th and 12th respectively.
Construction on the storm sewer has begun with the contractor working on the segment from
French Pond to French Road the first half of July. The segment to the west of French Pond will
approximately begin on the 22nd of July.
Bohm Drive Water Main Reconstruction - This project is complete with punch list items being
prepared
Northeast Sanitary Sewer Extension / Buchanan Road Water Main Extension - This project
is complete with punch list items being prepared.
Ebben Storm Sewer - Village Engineering staff has completed the first review of the project and
has provided comments to the Consultant.
