BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On March 7, 2018, the Lodi City Council Authorized the City Manager to execute a market rate lease agreement with The Village: Adult Developmental and Community Center (The Village). The Village currently serves over 20 adults with intellectual and developmental special needs through an adult day care and community center at the Lodi Transit Station Parking Structure. Prior to The Village, the space was utilized by the Administration Staff of the Lodi Fire Department. The Transit Station Parking Structure was an attractive location because of its proximity and access to public transportation. The person-centered program works with each member’s family and their caregivers to create a meaningful daily experience while developing functional skills in a community-based environment. This is an opportunity for the City Council and the public to visit The Village and to observe how this public/private partnership is working together toward improving life for those with special needs in our community. The shirtsleeve meeting will be held at The Village: Adult Developmental and Community Center located at 25 East Pine Street. FISCAL IMPACT: Not applicable.
