In 2023, they netted $12,000 in profit, while this year the profit was around $9,000. The foundation attributed the lower profit to the event's proximity to 209Gives and other external factors. They hope to grow from this experience and aim to match the 2023 profit in 2025. Consequently, the Foundation has decided to forgo the storyteller dinner this fall. They have added Steve Altimari from High Water Brewery to the Foundation Board and appointed Heather Pyle as the new treasurer. The Foundation will thank Diede Construction for their generous flooring donation at a private event. Director Manual shared that the estimated total for the patio furniture they proposed to purchase was $6,200, and the Foundation has raised $8,176 for this purpose. E-4 Friends of the Lodi Public Library Report – Kathryn Siddle • Kathryn reported that the Friends' bookstore made $2,654.93 in March. She thanked Trustee Kooger for his question about taxes at the last board meeting. The Friends reviewed their financial information and confirmed that eBay pays the taxes, and as a 501c3 organization, they are exempt. Moving forward, they will be able to save money by being exempt. The Friends participated in several events: The Arts Hop, Día de los Niño’s, the Lodi Street Fair, and the Walk for the Health of It. Participants of the Walk for the Health of It appreciated the fanny packs, which contained save-the- date information for upcoming events. Additionally, the Friends will be participating in a resource fair at the Boys & Girls Club in July. F.
