continues.
Motion to appoint Andriana Martin as interim Library Director, effective August 1, 2024, with a temporary
annual salary of $96,110.
Trustee Dalebout motioned, Trustee Melton seconded. Motion Carries.

Programming & Outreach:
Programs:
• The Summer Reading Program was a huge success, with Yvette leading the event. Participants received small
prizes weekly for collecting stamps, and completing five sections or the full sheet earned them entry into a drawing.
Prizes included a tablet for children, earbuds for teens, and a 32-inch TV for adults. Staff members Lois and Bobby
conducted the drawing, with the Friends of the Lodi Public Library sponsoring the grand prizes.
• The Lunch at the Library program was also highly successful, with over 4,900 lunches served to local youth. The
program ended with fellows presenting their PowerPoints on concepts such as cooperation, self-management,
creativity, critical thinking, and resilience. Councilman Ramon Yepez presented stipends to the fellows.
• The library celebrated its first Career Online High School graduate, Amanda Ramos, with a graduation ceremony
on July 18, 2024. Amanda, joined by her family, received her high school diploma, and the program was
sponsored by the California State Library and the Friends of the Lodi Public Library. Amanda's achievement was
also featured on the front page of the Lodi News Sentinel.
