BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Per the request of Mayor Craig, the commission shall review and discuss potential art and display pieces to be
placed in the case at the entrance of Carnegie Forum to make it look more modern.
A vote will be held to appoint a member to this committee.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Senior Commission received a request from Mayor, Lisa Craig to make a presentation at an upcoming
City Council meeting to share information on the Adult Daycare Program and the partnership with Adventist
Health. City Staff will advise the Senior Commission to include the LOEL Center and Senior Commission
brochure in the presentation. City Staff will advise the Commission to present its vision, goals and recent
accomplishments that align with the City Council Strategic Vision.
City Staff recommends the Senior Commission to form a subcommittee to plan and prepare a presentation to
City Council at an upcoming meeting in June or July. Upon completion of the PowerPoint presentation by the
subcommittee, the Senior Commission will vote to approve at the next May Senior Commission meeting. After
approval, City Staff will notify the City Clerk to add the Senior Commission presentation to the City Council
agenda.

necessitate evaluation to ensure adequate support for the commission's endeavors. This comprehensive
review underscores the commission's commitment to transparent and efficient governance, ensuring continued
excellence in serving the senior community.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The upcoming Lodi Senior Citizen Commission meeting is scheduled for July 4th, coinciding with the
Independence Day holiday. As this date is a federal holiday, there are concerns regarding the availability and
convenience for both council members and the public. The council is presented with two options: either cancel
the July meeting altogether and reconvene at the next scheduled meeting on August 1st, or reschedule the
July meeting to a different date to ensure participation and maintain the continuity of council operations.
