MINUTES EXECUTIVE SESSION Monday, May 9, 2016 Conference Room The executive session was called to discuss a real estate matter A motion was made by Mark Kiddoo and seconded by Skip Baliles to enter into executive session. City Attorney Robyn Webb stated that the Loganville Development Authority had a contract from the Walton County Board of Education to purchase the Loganville Elementary School for $1,350,000 and Chairman Doug Monda was ready to sign the contract to purchase the school property. Ms. Webb advised the Council to have the contract drawn up between the school board and the city as the development authority has no funds or the ability to borrow funds for such a purchase. Council member Mark Kiddoo suggested that the contract be reviewed prior to Thursday’s meeting and that Ms. Webb address this again on Thursday in executive session if one is necessary. Ms. Webb suggested that everyone think about this before Thursday and let her know . Council member Chuck Bagley made a motion to allow the City manager to offer the School Board $1,350,000 for the school property and Rey Martinez seconded the motion a straw pole vote was taken to allow the City Manager to proceed with acquiring a contract between the City of Loganville and the Walton County BOE and have ready to present on Thursday night. Motion to adjourn the executive session portion was made by Council member Mark Kiddoo, seconded by Council member Jay Boland at 7:34pm
