City of Loganville Planning & Development MINUTES Planning Commission Regular Business Meeting Thursday, March 27, 2014 Municipal Council Chambers MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: Tim Prater called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Invocation was given by Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commissioners: Bruce Granoff, R.C. Shanks, Barbara Forrester, Janice Tribble, Linda Dodd and Danny Ford were present. Mayor Dan Curry; Council Members Skip Baliles and Chuck Bagley were present. Administrative assistant, Nina Ramsey recorded the minutes. APPROVE MINUTES: A motion was made by R.C. Shanks and seconded by Barbara Forrester to approve the October 24, 2013 minutes. Motion carried 5 – 0 therefore the October 24, 2013 minutes were approved. BUSINESS: Mayor Dan Curry addressed the Planning Commission and welcomed the new members. ELECT PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIR: The nominees for Planning Commission Chairperson were Janice Tribble and R.C. Shanks. The vote was 4 – 1 in favor of Janice Tribble therefore Janice Tribble will be recognized as the new Planning Commission Chairperson for a period of two years. ELECT PLANNING COMMISSION VICE CHAIR: The nominees for Planning Commission Vice Chairperson were Danny Ford and R.C. Shanks. The vote was tied 3 – 3. Director Tim Prater stated that the vote for the Vice Chair would be postponed until the next scheduled meeting. ADJOURN: A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Danny Ford to adjourn.
