City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing (Called Meeting) Municipal Council Chambers 4303 Lawrenceville Road Thursday, August 30, 2018 • 6:30 p.m. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairwoman, Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners, Barbara Forrester, Bruce Granoff, Amanda Soesbe, Richard Homick and Kathrine Self. Admin. Assistant II, Angela Page recorded the minutes. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:38 p.m. Invocation was given by Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Bruce Granoff and seconded by Barbara Forrester to approve the minutes from the July 26, 2018 Planning Commission meeting. Panning Commissioner Amanda Soesbe recused herself from all 3 cases due to a possible conflict of interest. Planning Commission accepted her recuse. BUSINESS: Case #18-014 – A variance requesting relief from Section 119-210 C to reduce minimum house size. Planning and Development Director, Tim Prater, presented the amendment case and the department’s recommendation was for approval. It was discussed and confirmed by Commission members, W.H. Britt and Darron Britt that this property will be for purchase and not for rental. A motion was made by Richard Hamick and seconded by Barbara Forrester to recommend the City Council approve the amendment with the condition of a minimum of 1,000 square feet. Motion carried 4-0. Case #18-015 – A variance requesting relief from Section 119-210 C to reduce minimum house size. Planning and Development Director, Tim Prater, presented the amendment case, and the department’s recommendation was for approval. It was discussed and confirmed by Commission members, W.H. Britt and Darron Britt that this property will be for purchase and not for rental. A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Bruce Granoff to recommend the City Council approve the amendment with the condition of a minimum of 1,000 square feet . Britt and Darron Britt that this property will be for purchase and not for rental. A motion was made by Katherine Self and seconded by Richard Homick to recommend the City Council approve the amendment with the condition of a minimum of 1,000 square feet.
