City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing Municipal Council Chambers 4303 Lawrenceville Road March 25, 2021 • 6:30 p.m. Minutes for January 28, 2021 Meeting via Zoom Conference ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairwoman, Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners: Barbara Forrester, Amanda Soesbe, , Richard Homick, Katherine Self, Alma Thomas, Brian Linkous and Admin. Assistant II, Angela Page recorded the minutes. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:31 p.m. Invocation was given by Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Commissioner Barbara Forrester and seconded by Commissioner Alma Thomas to approve the minutes from the October 29, 2020 Planning Commission meeting. Motion carried 6-0. BUSINESS: Chairwoman Janice Tribble turned the floor over to Tim Prater to introduce the Cases. Case #R20-014 –Stanton Porter has requested a Rezone of the property located at Parcel # LG110008, Hodges Street, Loganville, GA., 30052, Walton County. Present zoning is R44 (Single Family Rural Residential). Requested zoning is R22-CSO (Single Family Suburban Residential-Open Space Subdivision Overlay) Proposed Development for small 10 lot subdivision on 3.02 acres. • The Planning Commission made a recommendation to approve this case. A motion was made by Commissioner Barbara Forrester and seconded by Commissioner Katherine Self. Motion carried 3-3 with Commissioners Richard Homick, Amanda Soesbe and Alma Thomas voting in opposition. Commissionwoman Janice Tribble broke the tie to carry the motion 4-3 for approval recommendation. Case #V20-015 – Stanton Porter has requested a Variance of the property located at Parcel # LG110008, Hodges Street, Loganville, GA., 30052, Walton County. Request is to decrease the width of lot footage from 100 feet to 75 feet. Section 119 (249) (2) • The Planning Commission made a recommendation to deny this case. A motion was made by Commissioner Katherine Self and seconded by Commissioner Richard Homick. Motion carried 5-1 with Commissioner Barbara Forrester in opposition. A motion was made by Commissioner Brian Linkous and seconded by Commissioner Barbara Forrester. Motion carried 4-2 with Commissioners Amanda Soesbe and Alma Thomas in opposition. Case #V20-017 – Stanton Porter has requested a Variance of the property located at Parcel # LG110008AO, Covington Street, Loganville, GA., 30052, Walton County.
