City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing Municipal Council Chambers 4303 Lawrenceville Road Thursday, April 22, 2021 • 6:30 p.m. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairwoman, Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners, Amanda Soesbe, Katherine Self, Barbara Forrester, Alma Thomas, Brian Linkous and Admin. Assistant II, Angela Page recorded the minutes. Richard Homick was absent. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Invocation was given by Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Amanda Soesbe and seconded by Alma Thomas to approve the minutes from the March 25, 2021 Planning Commission meeting. Motion carried 5-0. BUSINESS: Chairwoman Janice Tribble turned the floor over to Tim Prater to read the Cases. Case #R21-001: Storage Cap Loganville, LP c/o Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C. has requested a Rezone of the property located at Parcel # LG140001H00, U.S Highway 78 and GA Highway 20, Loganville, GA., 30052, Walton County. Present zoning is CH (Commercial Highway). Requested zoning is LI (Light Industrial) Proposed Development is for a climate controlled storage facility on 4.53 acres. Brian Linkous recused himself for Case #R21-021 due to a conflict of interest The Planning Commission, made a motion to deny the rezone and to send to the City Council with no condition. A motion was made by Alma Thomas and seconded by Barbara Forrester. Motion carried 3-1. Case #R21-004: 412 Conyers Road LLC. has requested a Rezone of the property located at Parcel # LG060182, 412 Conyers Road, Loganville, GA., 30052, Walton County. Present zoning is R-16 (Single-Family Urban Residential District). Requested zoning is CH (Commercial Highway District) Proposed Rezone is for office space on 0.85 acres. The Planning Commission made a recommendation to approve this case. A motion was made by Brian Linkous and seconded by Barbara Forrester. Motion carried 5-0. ADJOURN - A motion was made by Amanda Soesbe and seconded by Katherine Self to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0.
