Box 338 - Lone Rock, WI 53556 608-583-0088 Village Board Meeting 2024-July-09 Meeting minutes Roll Call Roll call commenced with the following in attendance: Dan Quinn, Mary Litviak, Harry Pulvermacher, Brandon Bindl, Adam Reno, Corey Ewers, and Brad Seymour. Also in attendance: Esther Marshall, Chris Conner, Cameron Quinn, Christa Quinn, Pat Christianson, Sandra Creasey, Cael Reno. ZOOM: Steve Morgenson, Brandy Dosch, Linda Schwanke, Valley Sentinel. Approve Agenda “Motion to approve the agenda.” Result: Motion carried. Moved by Adam Reno, seconded by Brandon Bindl. Approval of 06/11/2024 Minutes "Motion to approve the minutes of the June 11, 2024, meeting." Result: Motion carried with Adam Reno abstaining. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher, seconded by Brad Seymour. Discussion Regarding Large Vehicle Parking and Storage Ordinances Brad Seymour presented a discussion about current conflicts in the zoning ordinances about large vehicle parking on residential properties. The board discussed potential conflicts and agreed on the importance of having an ordinance that does not allow large construction vehicles in residential areas to keep residential aesthetics. A consensus was reached to review and potentially update the ordinances to resolve conflicts. WI DOT Bridge Closure The board discussed an upcoming bridge closure later in October. It was noted the bridge would be shut down for 2 weeks for new construction. WI DOT Sidewalk Grant It was reported that the Wisconsin DOT sidewalk grant was awarded. Discussions included potential ways to manage sidewalk costs through available funds. Renewal of Mobile Home Park Licenses "Motion to renew the mobile home park license for Prairie Summit Community LLC & WILO River MHP, LLC." Result: Motion carried. Moved by Adam Reno, seconded by Harry Pulvermacher. Operator’s Licenses "Motion to approve operator’s licenses for Nathan Bakken, Michelle Hamburg, Brandon Stearley, and Michael Sallis." Result: Motion carried. Moved by Adam Reno, seconded by Harry Pulvermacher. Building Permit Approval "Motion to approve the building permit to Dion Puzon for new decks at 33831 US Highway 14." Result: Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher, seconded by Mary Litviak. Fire District Meeting at the end of this month. EMS Chicken BBQ was a remarkable success. Police There was no report provided for the month. Library It was reported that there were 122 visitors and checkouts with 76 more on Libby App. during the last month. The Falconry program was successful with high attendance, could have him back this fall and upcoming events include a program with Bethel Horizon July 10th and an art class on August 1st. Public Works Department Community Center Floor "Motion to approve redoing the community center floor for $1,625 and send a bill for $550 to the renter responsible for the damage." Result: Motion carried. Moved by Adam Reno, seconded by Brad Seymour. Brush Pick-up The board discussed the issues with brush pick-up, addressing improper disposal and accumulation of brush by residents. It was decided to publicize that the village will not pick up brush from this date forward. Public Input There were no significant comments or input from the public. Upcoming Village or Community Meetings The next board meeting was scheduled for August 6, 2024. Review Check Register/Bills The board reviewed the financial report and register.
