Chair Schneiter provided a Chair’s report; and distributed
photographs displaying the newly installed twinkle lights and a sample
of the quiet sign City staff had designed, copies of which was received
and filed.
This Agenda Item was receive and file.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:
Mike Ruehle, president of the Belmont Shore Residents Association (BSRA), spoke
regarding the BSRA’s elections held September 11, 2008.
Chair Schneiter informed the public that the Commission was unable to address
issues during public participation that are outside the Commissioner's jurisdiction.
Melinda Cotton, resident, addressed the Commission regarding e-notification for the
minutes and audio of the meetings.
Travis Brooks, Development Project Manager, stated he would look into the agendas
and minutes process.

Formation and Bond issue.
Chair Schneiter provided an update on the Belmont Shore Community
Facilities District.
A motion was made by Commissioner Gavin, seconded by
Commissioner Trossen, to approve recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:

4. 08-1070 Receive and file report on Belmont Shore Gateway sign research survey
and consider recommendation of final sign design to the City.

and file the research survey report and submit the wave design
as the final for the Belmont Shore Gateway sign to the City. The

5. 08-1071 Consider recommendation that City Staff expend up to $22,000 in parking
meter revenue for gateway sign engineering plans.
