Arnold, Jo Anne Fitzpatrick, Jim Thompson and Michael Present: Hamilton Commissioners Michael W. McCarthy Excused: SWEARING OF WITNESSES Chairwoman Fitzpatrick asked for all people in the audience who plan to give testimony to please stand, raise their right hand and they were sworn in by Elbert Dubose. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 10, 2014 It was moved by Boad Member Thompson and seconded by Board Member Arnold to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion carried 4-0. C - 7845-03-14: 17 ELLIS STREET, SFR 2012-1 US WEST LLC C/O JESSICA SANCHEZ, FIRST AMERICAN TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY, Owners, Proj. No. CESB204213, Council Dist. 9 Substandard Building Case Chairwoman Fitzpatrick called for the owner or representative to appear before the Board and Mustafa Ghonim 7467 Hayvenhurst Ave Ste.#37, Van Nuys, CA 91406 and Angela Young, Strategic Property Management PO Box 58, Agoura Hills, CA 91376 appeared. Staff indicated that as per recent inspection, the property remains in violation. It was moved by Board Member Thompson and seconded by Chairwoman Fitzpatrick to conclude the Hearing, adopt the findings of the Building Official as the Board’s findings, determine that the Rumpus Room located at 17 E. Ellis Street is substandard and a public nuisance, and order the owner to demolish or rehabilitate the structure as per Findings dated March 7, 2014 by April 21, 2014. Also, order the owner to maintain the structure in a safe, clean and secure manner until the demolition or rehabilitation is complete. .
