Arnold, Present: Charles Whitehead and Ethel Powers Commissioners Michael W. McCarthy Excused: CALL TO ORDER Chairman Thompson opened the meeting at 1:39 p.m. in the Code Enforcement conference room. SWEARING OF WITNESSES Chairman Thompson referred to Ordinance No. C-5232, asked for all persons who planned to give testimony, to stand, raise their right hand, and they were sworn in by Myeesha Ayala. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF JULY 17, 2017 It was moved by Board Member Powers and seconded by Board Member Witten to approve the minutes as submitted. 1 CASE NO. 7877-08-17: 455 SUNSET STREET: JENNIE N. DO, OWNER, CE CASE NO. CEGC239925, COUNCIL DIST. 8 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the Board and David Piechoki and Jennie N Do. 341 Gulf Stream Way, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, owner and her representative, appeared on behalf of the request to appeal the Administrative Citation. It was moved by Vice-Chairwoman Arnold and seconded by Board Member Powers to conclude the hearing, determine that the appellant is the "Responsible Party" and the cited violations did exist on the date the citation was issued at the property located at 455 E. CEHC241112, COUNCIL DIST. 1 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the Board and Chris Martin 225 W. 3rd Street, Long Beach, CA 90802, property manager and representative of the property, appeared on behalf of the request to appeal the Administrative Citation. It was moved by Board Member Witten and seconded by Vice-Chairwoman Arnold to conclude the hearing, determine that the appellant is the "Responsible Party" and the cited violations did exist on the date the citation was issued at the property located at 225 W. 3rd Street.
