Chairman Thompson opened the meeting at 1:35 p.m. in the Code Enforcement conference room.
SWEARING OF WITNESSES
Chairman Thompson referred to Ordinance No. C-5232, asked for all persons who plan to give
testimony, to stand, raise their right hand, and they were sworn in by Myeesha Ayala.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR OCTOBER 15, 2018
It was moved by Board Member Arnold and seconded by Board Member Witten to approve the
minutes as submitted.

SUBSTANDARD BUILDING CASE
Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the
Board and Steffan Lazerow, 4375 Jutland Ave, Ste. 200, San Diego, CA 92115,
a Lender for the property, appeared.
It was the determination of the board to give the property a 60-day extension to
January 10, 2019, to bring the property into compliance as per the findings dated
October 16, 2018 and request the owners return to the January 14, 2019 board
meeting. The owners were also ordered to maintain the property in a safe, clean
and secure manner until the demolitions or rehabilitations are complete.

ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE
Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the
Board and Lila Emery, 27601 Sun City Blvd #172, Sun City, CA 92586, owner of
the property, appeared.
It was the determination of the Board to conclude the hearing, determine that the
cited party is the current owner and responsible party of the subject property
located at 2201 Canal Avenue and the violations listed did exist on the date the
citation was issued. In addition, it is the responsibility of the owner to keep their
mailing address updated.

ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE
Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the
Board and no person appeared on behalf of Case No. 7889-11-5-18, 249 Molino
Avenue.
This case was continued from the August 20, 2018 meeting. It was the
determination of the board to refund the citation amount of $200.00 once the
work is complete and has received a final with the Planning Department. It was

also the decision of the Board to continue the case to the hearing of November 5,
2018 if the work is not complete.
A site inspection revealed the work was complete and received a final by the
Planning Department by November 5, 2018. The owner will be entitled to receive
their refund amount of $200.00 as determined by the board.
Based on the foregoing, it was moved by Board Member Whitehead and
seconded by Board Member Witten to approve the determination as submitted.
