ROLL CALL Commissioners Connie Gutierrez, Kim Vuong, Alice Bruns and Deaka McClain Present: Commissioners Nubia Flores Cedeno and Chris Karadjov Absent: FLAG SALUTE The flag salute was led by Commissioner Gutierrez. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PRESENTATION Tony Cruz, Community Programs Specialist, Mobility and Healthy Living Program, City of Long Beach, presented on the City's e-scooter program. This CA-Agenda Item was laid over. 7. 19-047CA Recommendation to cancel the December 2019 meeting of the Citizen's Advisory Commission on Disabilities. This CA-Agenda Item was laid over. STAFF REPORT Heather Van Wijk reported that everything was all set for DEAM 2019 and answered any last minute logistical questions. Mrs. Van Wijk also reported out that Dolores Nason, Executive Director of the Disabled Resources Center (DRC), had formally responded to CACoD's concerns about the limited use of ASL interpreters at DRC's annual fundraising dinner in May 2019. Mrs. Van Wijk read the response aloud so as to have it archived in the video minutes.
