(Citywide) A motion was made to approve recommendation on the Consent Calendar. 6. 15-0124 Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute a one-year agreement with the County of Los Angeles, from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015, for reimbursement of expenditures in an amount not to exceed $500,000, to assist in the cost of removing debris deposited on City of Long Beach beaches and marinas emanating from the Los Angeles River. (Districts 2,3) A motion was made to approve recommendation on the Consent Calendar. 7. 15-0130 Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute a contract with Mary McGrath Architects of Oakland, California, for design services related to fire station facilities modernization, in an amount not to exceed $300,000 for a period of one year, with the option to extend the term for up to two additional one-year periods. A motion was made by Councilwoman Price, seconded by Councilwoman Mungo, to approve recommendation, as amended, to [1] request City Attorney to draft an ordinance to implement the Program, with a sunset of one year to be renewed at the fiscal year; [2] reduce qualification amount for incentive for renovation and construction to $2,000: An incentive amount equal to the amount of one year of the current business license tax for the business if the total value of the renovation or construction exceeds $2,000, or an amount equal to two years of the business license tax if the total value of the renovation or construction exceeds $4,000; and [3] refer the ordinance to the Economic Development Commission once it has been approved by Council.
