3. 15-0196 Recommendation to authorize City Manager to increase Blanket
Purchase Order Agreement No. BPLB14000039 with Southwest
Wear Parts Company, Inc., of South El Monte, CA, for as-needed
welding services, by $100,000, for a total annual amount not to
exceed $300,000, for a period of two years, with the option to renew
for two additional one-year periods, at the discretion of the City
Manager. (Citywide)

4. 15-0197 Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute agreements
and any necessary documents with the Long Beach Unified School
District of Los Angeles County (LBUSD) to include Department of
Parks, Recreation and Marine Summer Day Camps in the LBUSD's
Extended School Year Optional Program for Fiscal Year 2015.

A motion was made to approve recommendation on the Consent

5. 15-0198 Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute all
necessary documents to receive and expend grant funding from the
California Office of Emergency Services Paul Coverdell Forensic
Sciences Improvement Program grant, and
Increase appropriations in the General Grants Fund (SR 120) in the
Police Department by $8,761. (Citywide)
A motion was made to approve recommendation on the Consent

6. 15-0199 Recommendation to authorize City Manager to increase Interim
Blanket Purchase Order No. BPPW15000001 with United Storm
Water, Inc., by $250,000, for a revised total amount not to exceed
$350,000; and extend the term through September 30, 2015 or until
a new contract is executed, whichever occurs later. (Citywide)

to report back to City Council within 45 - 60 days. The motion

9. 15-0211 Recommendation to adopt Minute Order declaring a moratorium
against the issuance of any new "exemptions" from the Conditional
Use Permit (CUP) requirement for those alcohol related uses set
forth in Footnote 1, subsections b through e, inclusive of Table 32-1
of the City's Zoning Code; and directing the Department of
Development Services and the Planning Commission to undertake
a study pursuant to Long Beach Municipal Code Chapter 21.50, to
determine whether or not the City's current zoning regulations
related to CUP exemptions are appropriate or need further review
or modification.

the Fiscal Year 2015 Annual Action Plan to obligate new Program
Income in the HOME Investment Partnership program for activities
that create affordable housing for low-income households;
Authorize City Manager to execute all necessary documents with
the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
related to the First Substantial Amendment; and
Increase appropriations in the Community Development Grants
Fund
(SR 150) in the Development Services Department (DV) by
$4,000,000. (Citywide)

Amendment to the Natural Gas Services Agreement with Shell
Energy North America (SENA) providing administrative functions
related to the delivery of natural gas to the City of Long Beach’s
natural gas pipeline system for an additional three-year term with no
other change in terms. (Citywide)

rabbits in any pet shop, retail business, or other commercial
establishment, unless they were obtained from an animal shelter,
humane society, rescue organization, or bred on the premises
possessing a valid breeding permit read the first time and laid over

Fiscal Year 2015 Annual Action Plan to obligate new Program Income in
the HOME Investment Partnership program for activities that create

United States Department of Housing and Urban Development related to
the First Substantial Amendment; and
Increase appropriations in the Community Development Grants Fund

business, or other commercial establishment, unless they were obtained
from an animal shelter, humane society, rescue organization, or bred on
