1. 23-0208 Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund
Group in the City Manager Department by $2,500 offset by the Sixth
Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the
Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to Grace
Memorial Baptist Church to support their Unity in the Community
Cultural Festival; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide
Activities Department by $2,500 to offset a transfer to the City Manager
Department.
A motion was made to approve recommendation on the
Consent Calendar.
2. 23-0209 Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund
Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by the Fourth
Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the
Citywide Activities Department to provide support to Partners of Parks
for their Sowing the Seeds event; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide
Activities Department by $1,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager
Department.

8. 23-0215 Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all
documents necessary to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding,
and any necessary subsequent amendments, with the County of Los
Angeles Office of Violence Prevention (OVP), permitting the Health and
Human Services Department to communicate, collaborate and
effectively support community-based violence prevention and
intervention efforts with OVP through December 31, 2025. (Citywide)

A motion was made to approve recommendation on the

9. 23-0216 Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all
documents necessary to amend Agreement No. 30976 including any
necessary subsequent amendments, with Innovative Interfaces Inc., of
Emeryville, CA, for providing continued Library Management System
services, to increase the annual contract amount by $185,038, with a
15 percent contingency in the annual amount of $27,756, for a total
annual amount not to exceed $212,794, and extend the term of the
contract to March 31, 2024. (Citywide)
A motion was made to approve recommendation on the
Consent Calendar.
10. 23-0217 Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute
an agreement with the Long Beach Unified School District for food
preparation for the 2023 Summer Food Service Program, in an amount
not to exceed $316,550; execute a sponsor/site agreement with the City
of Signal Hill; and, execute any documents, including any necessary
subsequent amendments to accept funds, implement, and administer
the 2023 Summer Food Service Program, from June 20 through
August 25, 2023; and
Increase appropriations in the General Grants Fund Group in the
Parks, Recreation and Marine Department by $43,277, offset by grant
revenue. (Citywide)

11. 23-0218 Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute
an agreement, and any necessary subsequent amendments, with the
Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation to accept and expend grant funding
in an amount not to exceed $62,430, for the 2023 Dodgers Dreamteam
Program, including the acceptance of funding for park field
maintenance, umpire fees, in-kind contributions, and a Dodgers
Dreamteam Coordinator for youth softball and baseball for the 2023
