Smith Watts, Robin Perry, Jonathan Gotz and Lawrence Keller Absent: 1 - Charles Hicks MANAGERS’ REPORT Melinda George, Deputy Director stated that the Police Recruit bulletin will open on Monday, June 9, 2014, and that recruitment efforts are well underway. She stated that the Police Recruit examination is scheduled for July 14 & 15, 2014, at the Long Beach Convention Center, and that during the recruitment two Police Recruit workshops will be available for interested candidates to attend. The workshops are scheduled for June 18, 2014 and June 21, 2014 at the Long Beach Police Academy. Ms. George also stated that another Department priorities request went out to all department heads and some have been returned. Crystal Slaten, Administrator, Police Personnel thanked the Civil Service staff for all of their hard work on the Public Safety Dispatcher examination. Commissioner Smith Watts acknowleged the passing of Mr. Phil Infelise former Civil Service Commissioner. President Keller asked for a moment of silence in his honor.
