19-017CH Recommendation to approve the minutes from March 11, 2019.
A motion was made by Commissioner Smith, seconded by
Commissioner Ramos, to approve recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:

DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Christopher Koontz, Planning Bureau Manager, presented the Director's Report.
Patricia Diefenderfer, New Advanced Planning Officer, spoke.
Chair Burks spoke.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Members of the public are invited to address the Board on
items of interest to the public within the Agency Board jurisdiction. Each speaker will be
limited to two minutes unless that time is extended by the Chair.
None.
SWEARING OF WITNESSES: Do you solemnly swear or affirm that the evidence you shall
give in this Cultural Heritage Commission Meeting shall be the truth, the whole truth, and
nothing but the truth.

19-016CH Recommendation to hold a discussion and appoint a Cultural Heritage
Commission representative to the Long Beach Navy Memorial Heritage
Association.

19-014CH Recommendation to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness request for
construction of a 498-square-foot one-story detached Accessory Dwelling
Unit (ADU) and perimeter fencing at 790 Raymond Avenue. The existing
single-family residential building is a contributing structure in the Rose Park
Historic District. (District 2)

19-015CH Recommendation to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness request for
the remodel and one-story addition (262 square feet) to an existing
single-family home and the construction of an 812-square-foot, three-car
garage with a new 540-square-foot second floor unit at the rear of the
existing garage at 520 Junipero Avenue. The existing primary residence is
a contributing property in the Rose Park South Historic District. (District 2)
