2. 20-039EC Recommendation to conduct a study session to review and discuss

Commissioner Pollack, to approve motion to move forward
applicants CD1-19, CD1-21, CD1-24, CD2-5, CD2-21, CD2-38,
CD3-11, CD3-23, CD4-1, CD4-17, CD5-14, CD5-36, CD5-42,
CD6-11, CD6-19, CD6-34, CD7-19, CD7-31, CD8-1, CD8-20,
CD8-25, CD9-24, and CD9-31 to the applicant subpool, per the
process of each Ethics Commissioner identifying their top 2-3
applicants per Council District, as discussed in Agenda Item
No. 2. The motion carried by the following vote:
Yes: 7 - Lani De Benedictis, Luke Fiedler, Kimmy Maniquis, Barbara
Pollack, J. P. Shotwell, Margo Morales and Susan Wise
4. 20-041EC Recommendation to appoint nine Independent Redistricting
Commission members randomly selected from the applicant subpool by
the Ethics Commission Chair, subject to the completion of the
remaining City requirements, and direct staff to advise the Mayor and
elected officials of the Commission’s actions.

A motion was made by Commissioner Shotwell, seconded by
Commissioner De Benedictis, to approve motion to conduct a
random selection from the applicant subpool and appoint the
randomly selected applicants CD1-21, CD2-38, CD3-11,
CD4-17, CD5-14, CD6-11, CD7-19, CD8-20, and CD9-31 to the
Independent Redistricting Commission. The motion carried
by the following vote:

Pollack, J. P. Shotwell, Margo Morales and Susan Wise
A motion was made by Vice Chair Morales, seconded by
Commissioner Pollack, to approve motion to direct staff to
advise the Mayor and elected officials of the Commission’s
actions and include information regarding the selection
process and the demographic information of the applicants
selected. The motion carried by the following vote:
