REGULAR AGENDA (5:52 PM) 1. 16-1117 Recommendation to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California Regular Meeting held Tuesday, October 11, 2016. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - Gonzalez, Pearce, Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer and Hudson Absent: 2 - Andrews and Richardson 2. 16-1118 Recommendation to receive and file the Housing Authority Financial and Operational Performance Report for August 2016. (Citywide) A motion was made by Commissioner Uranga, seconded by Commissioner Mungo, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - Gonzalez, Pearce, Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer and Hudson Absent: 2 - Andrews and Richardson 3. 16-1119 Recommendation to receive and file the Housing Authority Financial and Operational Performance Report for September 2016. (Citywide) A motion was made by Commissioner Uranga, seconded by Commissioner Mungo, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 8 - Gonzalez, Pearce, Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Uranga, Austin and Hudson No: 1 - Tanzer Absent: 2 - Andrews and Richardson 4. 16-1120 Recommendation to approve City’s Assessment of Fair Housing for the period of October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2022 and authorize City Manager, or designee, to take actions to further the goals identified in the Assessment of Fair Housing. Councilmember Pearce spoke. A motion was made by Commissioner Supernaw, seconded by Commissioner Price, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - Gonzalez, Pearce, Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer and Hudson Absent: 2 - Andrews and Richardson 5. 16-1121 Recommendation to authorize Executive Director, or designee, to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) advertising the availability of Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) and solicit participation in the program from interested property owners of affordable units; and Authorize Executive Director, or designee, to negotiate and execute agreement(s) to enter into Housing Assistance Payment contract(s) for PBV assistance in accordance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines for qualified proposals submitted in response to this RFP and also approved by HUD. A motion was made by Commissioner Pearce, seconded by Commissioner Gonzalez, to approve recommendation. OCEAN BOULEVARD THE CITY OF LONG BEACH, COUNCIL CHAMBER, 4:30 PM CALIFORNIA MINUTES 6. 16-1122 WITHDRAWN Recommendation to adopt resolution of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California, approving a revised voucher Payment Standard Schedule for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, effective December 14, 2016, for all zip code areas in Long Beach. (Citywide) This HA-Resolution was withdrawn. NEW BUSINESS (6:08 PM) There was no new business. PUBLIC COMMENT (6:09 PM) No members of the public addressed the committee.
