1. 21-048RC Recommendation to approve the minutes of the Long Beach
Independent Redistricting Commission Regular Meeting on
Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
A motion was made by Commissioner Scott, seconded by
Commissioner Nhim, to approve recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Yes: 12 - Genna Beckenhaupt, Thomas Cooper, Ryan Giffen, Frank
Gutierrez, Nicole Lopez, Marissa Martinez, Kelly Nhim,
Feliza Ortiz-Licon, Zhelinrentice Scott, Sevly Snguon,
Sharon Diggs-Jackson and Alejandra Gutierrez
Absent: 1 - Eric Oates
2. 21-049RC Recommendation to receive and file an update on the Long Beach
Independent Redistricting Commission Redistricting Process and
Methods; and if appropriate, adopt the Process and Methods.
Bradley Bounds II, Redistricting Project Specialist, spoke; and presented
the staff report.
A motion was made by Commissioner Cooper, seconded by
Commissioner Gutierrez, to approve recommendation, as
amended, to receive and file an update on the Long Beach
Independent Redistricting Commission Redistricting Process
and Methods; and adopt the Process and Methods. The
motion carried by the following vote:
