Chair Zanatta spoke. A motion was made by Commissioner Sievers, seconded by Commissioner Livingstone, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 6 - Herlinda Chico, Robert Livingstone, Kasey Schoen, Ron Sievers, Mariela Salgado and David Zanatta COMMISSION ITEMS 2. 20-039PR Recommendation to recommend to the City Manager the approval of an art installation as an improvement for public recreation at the Red Car Greenbelt, which meets a recreational need in the City (District 3). PARKS USAGE & REGULATIONS COMMITTEE Chair Zanatta spoke. The Committee did not meet. PUBLIC COMMENT There were no public comments via Teleconference, but two public comments were received via email. Both emails were distributed to the Commissioners and posted in Legistar under file # 20-042PR. Page 4 of 6 CITY OF LONG BEACH THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2020 PARKS AND RECREATION TELECONFERENCE, 9:00 AM COMMISSION MINUTES STAFF COMMENTS Deputy Director Stephen Scott announced that all City of Long Beach employees will participate in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill today at 10:15 AM. Michelle Wilson announced her departure from PRM. She will be transferring to Financial Management and Ashleigh Griset will assume her position as the lead for ERC. COMMISSION COMMENTS Chair Zanatta expressed that Michelle Wilson is a true leader and will be missed. Commissioner Salgado congratulated Michelle Wilson and thanked her for her years of service. Commissioner Chico congratulated Michelle Wilson and thanked her for her years of service. Commissioner Livingstone congratulated Michelle Wilson and acknowledged her amazing work on the ERC. ADJOURNMENT Chair Zanatta adjourned the meeting at 10:16 AM.
