ROLL CALL Also present: Larry Rich, Sustainable City Coordinator; Alison Riordan, Clerk Typist; Linda Vu, Deputy City Attorney Commissioners Donna Bergeron-Birge, Carla Dillon, Elliot Gonzales, Kathleen Present: Irvine, Morgan Wheeler, Sona Coffee and Coby Skye Commissioners Nicholas Lind and Alan Tolkoff Absent: PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Members of the public are invited to address the Commission on items of interest to the public within the Commission's jurisdiction. Each speaker will be limited to two minutes unless that time is extended by the Chair. Lily House Peters, faculty at CSULB, spoke. Eliot Gonzales joined the meeting. Joe Galliani, Founding Organizer of the South Bay Los Angeles 350 Climate Action Group, spoke. Anna Christensen, Long Beach Area Peace Network, spoke. OCEAN BLVD, 4:00 PM City Commission meeting of Thursday, May 25, 2017. MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Irvine, seconded by Commissioner Gonzales, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7 - Donna Bergeron-Birge, Carla Dillon, Elliot Gonzales, Kathleen Irvine, Morgan Wheeler, Sona Coffee and Coby Skye Absent: 2 - Nicholas Lind and Alan Tolkoff REGULAR AGENDA (2) 17-018SC Recommendation to receive a training on the Brown Act from the City Attorney's Office. Chair Skye introduced Linda Vu, Deputy City Attorney, who gave the presentation. Chair Skye spoke. A motion was made by Commissioner Dillon, seconded by Commissioner Irvine, to receive and file.
