CITY OF LONOKE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES June 17, 2021 The Lonoke City Council held a special city council meeting in the city council room on June 17, 2021 at 6 p.m. Mayor Trae Reed called the meeting to order with the invocation given by Efrem Jones. Mayor Reed asked Deputy City Clerk, Regina Ibbotson to call the roll. Deputy Clerk Ibbotson called the roll and declared a quorum. Jim Kelley (absent) C.C. Director Mike Brown (absent) Fire Dept. Justin Whittenburg (absent) Parks Director Roy Don Lewis (absent) News Media None Visitors- Tom Kloske, Joyce Jones, and Jim Wiertelak A. Approve Installation of Pole and Electrical Work for City of Lonoke Sign- At the previous council meeting, a motion and second was made to use Zack Eaves for the fabrication and installation of the pole for the refurbished City of Lonoke sign at a price of $4,500 and Justice Electric for the installation of the electric work to power the sign at $1200. Zack Eaves estimate failed to include the required sales taxes. The tax on the invoice is $472.50. Koy Butler made the motion to use Zack Eaves at a total cost of $4972.50 to fabricate, install the post and hang the sign and to spend $1200 with Justice Electric for the electrical work at $1200. Alice Bridges seconded the motion. Motion carried. Adjourn- Ryan Biles made a motion to adjourn. Koy Butler seconded the motion.
