Speakers shall restrict their comments to issues that are within the subject jurisdiction of the Library Board and limit their comments to five (5) minutes per person. The Brown Act, with certain exceptions, does not permit the Library Board to discuss or take action on items that are not listed on the agenda. Please state your name for the record. 3. FRIENDS OF LOOMIS LIBRARY UPDATE 4. INFORMATIONAL & DISCUSSION ITEMS a. Brief history of how this municipal library came about and vision for library. b. May 8, 2017 for both Friends of Loomis Library to meet Library Board. 5. ACTION ITEMS a. Appoint secretary to take minutes b. Consider structure of Library Board and create committees to explore the focus, vision, and policies of Loomis Library & Community Learning Center. c. Consider contract with Friends of Loomis Library to hire a director to operate library or explore other options. Direct Staff. d. Consider job descriptions and education requirements for Library Director Position. Approve or Amend draft copy. 6. LIBRARY BOARD COMMENTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS 7. ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDA 8.
