Solid Waste Fee Increase (Continued from June 9, 2020 Council Meeting) On June 9, 2020 the Public Hearing for the 2020 Recology Auburn Placer request for rate increase was opened. The Public Hearing was then continued to July 14, 2020. Pursuant to the Town’s agreement with Recology Auburn Placer a rate change is being requested that will increase rates for the average residential customer’s monthly garbage rate of 2.79%. Recommended action: Take public comment; approve Resolution approving a rate increase to the solid waste refuse collection and hauling contract for Recology Auburn Placer. Public comment: BUSINESS 11. Building Engineering and Maintenance, Inc. (BEM) Request for General Plan Amendment BEM has approached Town staff and engaged in discussions of their ability to file an application for a General Plan and Land Use Designation Map Amendment for a proposed mixed use project on +/- 106.7 acres south of Sierra College Boulevard and east of Bankhead Road, and west of Antelope Creek, and north of the Rocklin Ranch Industrial Park in the Town of Loomis. The site consists of seven (7) parcels of approximately 86.28 acres and two (2) additional “optional” parcels that may be included in the total project area of 20.42 acres for a combined total of nine (9) parcels and 106.7 acres. Recommended action: Take public comment, adopt Resolution to allow Building Engineering & Maintenance, Inc. Public comment: 12. General Plan Update Status Town Staff will make a presentation on the status of the General Plan update, review the accomplishments, and review the next steps in the process. Recommended action: Review presentation, receive public input, and provide direction to staff.
