The Town Council meeting will be held at the Loomis Depot Building and is open to public attendance. The meeting is also available through the Town of Loomis Zoom platform by clicking the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87041117410 Public comment will be opened for each agenda item through the Zoom platform. A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Loomis awarding APPROVE RESOLUTION the Construction Management contract for the Sierra College Widening Project. 11. BUSINESS 13. MAYOR’S COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS The yearly Council reorganization occurs in December also ushers in the incoming g Mayor’s recommendations on committee assignments for the new calendar year. The Municipal Code provides that: “The Mayor, with the approval of the Town Council, shall make all appointments to regional and county boards, commission and committees unless otherwise specifically provided for by other provision of the Council (Section 2.08.090)”. FINANCIAL AND/OR POLICY IMPLICATIONS There are no financial issues with this item. 14. PLANNING COMMISSIONER APPOINTMENTS Loomis Municipal Code Section 2.36.020 regulates how Loomis Planning Commissioners are to be appointed and their terms of office. The code requires Council Members to appoint their Commissioner at the regular Council meeting in January following election to the Council. The appointments become effective March 1st of that year. Loomis Municipal Code Section 2.36.040 provides that a vacancy on the Commission is to be filled by the appointing Council Member within 45 days of that vacancy RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Town Council adopt a motion confirming each Council Member’s Planning Commission appointee. CEQA REQUIREMENTS There are no CEQA implications associated with the recommended action. FINANCIAL AND/OR POLICY IMPLICATIONS There are no financial implications associated with the recommended action. The recommended action follows the Loomis Municipal Code.
