FILLING TOWN TREASURER VACANCY Following the death of Roger Carroll on April 8, 2023, the Town Council needs to fill the Town Treasurer position. As the Town Treasurer is an elected position, the two options are to hold a special election or appoint someone to fill the position until the term ends in November 2024. RECOMMENDED ACTION: It is recommended that the Town Council: 1. Decide to fill the vacancy in the Town Treasurer position by appointment, using the process outlined in this report. 2. Appoint the Town Manager as acting Treasurer until the position is filled. PUBLIC COMMENT ADJOURNMENT CLOSED SESSION – Pursuant to cited authority, the Town Council will hold a closed session to discuss the following listed items. A report of any action taken will be presented prior to adjournment of the regular meeting. a. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION - Town Manager, pursuant to Section 54957 of the Government Code.
