ZA 2002-7351(CUB)(CU)-A1 Council District: No. 10 CEQA: ENV-2002-7352-CE Location: 3330 West Olympic Boulevard Plan: Wilshire Expiration Date: 6-25-03 Appeal Status: Not further appealable PUBLIC HEARING AN APPEAL of conditions, elements, or parts of an Associate Zoning Administrator’s denial pursuant to Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 12.24-W,1, of a request for a Conditional Use Permit, to delete Condition No. 7 of Case No. ZA 2000-0210(CUB)(CU)(ZV)(PA) which requires filing of a Plan Approval in five years for a review of conditions, but do act to extend the starting date for calculating this five year period to be that of the effective date of this instant action and pursuant to Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 12.24-W, 27, approval of a request for a conditional use with specified deviations from the requirements of Section 12.22-A,23(a), to allow the construction, use and maintenance of an additional public parking area. The specified deviations requested are to permit the hours of operation from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, to permit three- deep tandem parking; and to allow a 3-foot landscape setback in lieu of the required 5 feet and pursuant to Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 12.24-W,37, approval of a request for a conditional use to allow the establishment, use and maintenance of a 94 space parking area in the R1-1 Zone; and pursuant to Section 12.24-F of the Code to allow a 3-foot front yard setback along Manhattan Place in lieu of the 10- foot front yard setback for public parking area required under Section 12.21-A,6(a). PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD The Area Planning Commission shall provide an opportunity in open meetings for the public to address it, on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Area Planning Commission. (This requirement is in addition to any other hearing required or imposed by law.) Persons making requests are encouraged to do so in writing and should submit 10 copies to the Area Planning Commission for its consideration. Persons wishing to speak must submit a speaker’s request form prior to the commencement of the public comment period. Individual testimony within the public comment period shall be limited to five (5) minutes per person and up to ten (10) minutes per subject.
