POLICY FOR DESIGNATED PUBLIC HEARING ITEM(S) 3 and 4. Pursuant to the Commission’s general operating procedures, the Commission at times must necessarily limit the speaking times of those presenting testimony on either side of an issue that is designated as a public hearing item. All requests to address the Commission on public hearing items must be submitted prior to the Commission’s consideration on the item. TIME SEGMENTS noted herein are approximate. Some items may be delayed due to length of discussion of previous items. To ensure that the Commission has ample opportunity to review written materials, members of the public who wish to submit written materials on agenda items should submit them to the Commission office, 200 North Spring Street, Room 272, Los Angeles, CA 900152, at least 10 days prior to the meeting at which the item is to be heard in order to meet the mailing deadline. Note: Materials received after the mailing deadline will be placed in the official case file. APCC-2013-3288-SPE-ZAA-SPPA-SPP Related Case: VTT-72366-SL Plan: Hollywood CEQA: ENV-2013-3287-MND Council District: 4 - LaBonge Expiration Date: 7/19/14 Appeal Status: Further appealable to City Council PUBLIC HEARING HELD ON JUNE 9, 2014 LOCATION: 1759 North New Hampshire Avenue Proposed project: Construction of six (6) residential units, each ranging in size from 1,715 to 1,989 square feet for a total of 10,638 square feet of new residential construction on an approximately 9,279 square foot lot. Each residential unit will provide a two (2) car garage within a private garage at grade level for a total of 12 parking spaces. Each unit will be built at a height of 32’ 11 ¾’’. Under a separate entitlement request, VTT-72366-SL, the project is requesting a Small Lot Subdivision for the creation of 6 new lots. REQUESTED ACTION: 1. Pursuant to Section 21082.1(c)(3) of the California Public Resources Code, Adopt the Mitigated Negative Declaration (ENV-2013-3287-MND) for the above referenced project; 2. Pursuant to section 11.5.7.F of the Municipal Code, Specific Plan Exceptions from the Vermont/Western Transit Oriented District Specific Plan / Station Neighborhood Area Plan (SNAP), Ordinance 173,749, as follows: A. From Section 7.D. to allow the roof deck and roof deck railings to be setback from the edges of the building by variable 1’3’’ to 8’1’’ in lieu of the required 10 feet; B. From Section 7.D. to allow the stair case access structure to be set back zero feet between proposed lots and a variable 3 feet to 5 feet where the lot abuts an adjacent lot in lieu of the 10 feet required; C.
